Manatee Performing Arts Center Sets 2015 Author Lecture Series

The Manatee Performing Arts Center has announced the 2015 Arts and Lecture Series jointly sponsored by the Manatee Library Foundation, Inc. and the Manatee Performing Arts Center.

The series launches on Monday May 4 with author Lisa Unger. Unger is the New York Times bestselling author of 11 novels. Unger's work has been hailed as "stellar," "sensational," and "sophisticated. The lecture will begin at 6 p.m. More information about the author can be found at www.lisaunger.com.

The second lecture in the series will be author Jeff Lindsay on Monday July 13. Fans of the hit series Dexter will immediately recognize Lindsay as the bestselling author of the sociopathic vigilante serial killer for whom the series is named. The third in the series will be author Nancy Cohen. Cohen is the author of the humorous Bad Hair Day mystery series. Cohen's main character is a hairdresser/sleuth who solves crimes with wit and style under the sultry Florida sun. Tickets for the lecture series are $35 per lecture or $75 for all three. Tickets for the lectures can be purchased at the Manatee Performing Arts Center ticket office by calling 941-748-5875 or online at www.manateeperformingartscenter.com.
