The Maltz Jupiter Theatre has broken all previous records by exceeding 7,628 subscribers for the current 2016/17 season, Let Us Entertain You!

"Our 2016/17 season ticket sales represent a milestone for the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, and we believe this new record is a testament to the outstanding artistic excellence that our patrons have come to expect," said Andrew Kato, the Theatre's producing artistic director and chief executive.

In a surprise twist, longtime Theatre supporter Priscilla Heublein unknowingly broke the previous record, set during the 2014/15 season.

"Of all crazy things - I've been a friend of the Maltz Jupiter Theatre since its inception, and I can't believe I've broken the record," said Heublein, a donor and one of the sponsors of the Theatre's upcoming season production of the play Disgraced. "I'm always delighted to support the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, which is truly a cultural jewel for our community."

Season tickets are currently on sale and begin at $202, with two convenient purchasing options: the five-play and the opt-out of one (four-play package). Season ticket holders save 10 percent to 15 percent on single ticket prices, and also get one fee-free ticket exchange per ticket per show and advance notice and ability to purchase tickets to limited engagements and other special events. Groups of 20 or more receive an additional discount.

Single tickets for the 617-seat venue's 2016/17 season go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 22. With both subscription and single tickets available, available seating options include orchestra, mezzanine and upstairs premium club level seats, accessible through The Green Room Club Level Lounge. Single show ticket prices start at $56, with flexible performance schedule options.

"Regional theatres depend on subscribers to be their audience base," said Jennifer Sardone-Shiner, director of marketing. "The fact that we have so many subscribers in a non-urban area is significant and something we're proud of. We're grateful to our donors, but also to our ticket buyers for believing in us."

The 2016/17 season will begin with The Audience (October 23 - November 6), Peter Morgan's riveting new play that will take audiences behind the walls of Buckingham Palace and into the private chambers of Queen Elizabeth II for meetings with each of her Prime Ministers. We continue with Me and My Girl (November 29 - December 18), the heart-warming dance sensation that follows an unrefined charmer who learns he is heir to the Earl of Hareford. Next up is The Producers (January 10 - 29), Mel Brooks' Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon about a down-on-his-luck producer and his accountant who scheme to produce a Broadway flop. Then join us for Disgraced (February 12 - 26), a provocative and thought-provoking new Pulitzer Prize-winning play that examines the stories we share with our friends, the secrets we tell our lovers and the lies we tell ourselves. Our incredible season ends with the Tony Award-winning hit musical Gypsy (March 21 - April 9), the Broadway smash inspired by the memoirs of the legendary burlesque performer Gypsy Rose Lee.

Patrons may purchase subscriptions for club level premium seats in the Green Room Club Level Lounge and enjoy its amenities throughout the season. Amenities include spacious 23" seats, a lounge with a private bar and restrooms, one free drink of choice with ticket purchase, panoramic views of the stage and a private entrance and elevator. Groups who purchase all 62 Club Level seats to a performance receive full access to The Green Room Club Level Lounge at no additional charge to host a private event, such as a catered dinner or cocktail party.

"While subscriptions are on sale through December, now is the best time to purchase a subscription to enjoy the best seats available for all of the shows in our 2016/17 season," Sardone-Shiner said. "There's never been a better time to purchase season tickets and enjoy the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's many subscriber benefits throughout the season."

The Audience is sponsored by the John McDonald Company; Me and My Girl is sponsored by Kathy and Joe Savarese, Homecare America and Patty and Bob Hendrickson; and The Producers is sponsored by Jane Napier and William W. Napier. Disgraced is sponsored by Jodie and Dan Hunt and The Roy A. Hunt Foundation and Priscilla Heublein; and Gypsy is sponsored by Marianne Glick and Michael Woods and Suzanne Niedland in loving memory of Art and Meg Niedland.
