The Maltz Jupiter Theatre's Conservatory of Performing Arts (COPA) announces two Spring productions, Les Miserables School Edition and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Auditions were held in January for students from Martin and Palm Beach Counties and over 30 students were selected for each production.

Les Miserables (School Edition), directed by Craig Wich with Musical Direction by Betty Saunders, will be on the professional stage at the Theatre, Friday and Saturday, April 24 and 25, 2009 at 7:30pm. The cast includes: Spencer Ballantyne in the role of Valjean, Michael Risco as Javert, Kevin Connor as Marius and Kelsey Moore as Eponine. This Tony Award-winning musical is set in early 19th century France, and follows the intertwining stories of a cast of intriguing characters as they struggle for redemption and revolution.

Also this Spring, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, directed by Lissa Birder with Musical Direction by Betty Saunders, will perform on Friday and Saturday, May 8 and 9, 2009 at 7:30pm. The cast includes students ages 7 - 13 years old. Narrators will be played by Ana Lissa Bakken, Marisa Vitulli and Emily Rynasko. Joseph will be played by Drew Tanabe; Michael Benson will play several roles including the Pharaoh. The biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical where a boy is blessed with prophetic dreams as he endures a series of adventures in which his spirit and humanity are continually challenged.

Tickets for both performances are $20 for adults and $15 for students under the age of 18 years. For more information please visit the website at www.jupitertheatre.org or call the box office at (561) 575-2223.
