Curtain Call Playhouse Receives a Proclamation from the City of Pompano Beach
Kris Coffelt, Founder and Artistic Director of Curtain Call Playhouse, Pompano Beach's longest running professional theatre, accepted the Proclamation from Pompano Beach's Mayor Lamar Fisher at the city's commission meeting.
The proclamation was given in honor of the company's 20 years of nurturing and providing quality theatre productions and children's workshops and summer camps to the city.
Curtain Call Playhouse's partnerships with cities and cultural centers allows them to serve over 7,000 audience members a year. In the past 20 years, they have worked with over 3,500 artists and 3,000 children in the arts.
Kris Coffelt, along with the Pompano Beach Cultural Arts Committee was also honored with her name on the building plaque at the new Pompano Beach Cultural Center, a nineteen million-dollar venue that opened this month. She has been a member of the Pompano Beach Cultural Arts Committee since its inception 19 years ago, and was the organization's founding chair person.
