Casting Announced for A Classic Theatre's INTIMATE APPAREL

A Classic Theatre's next production, Intimate Apparel by Lynn Nottage is winner of the 2004 New York Drama Critics' Circle and the Outer Critics Circle Awards. The production is directed by Patric Robinson. Intimate Apparel is an exquisite, emotional story of longing, love, and betrayal... a timeless story of woman's strength and courage.

The exceptional cast assembled for this production is headed by Lisa Lockhart as the seamstress, Esther; Melinda J. Morais as Mrs. Dickson; Elizabeth Myers as Mrs. Van Buren; John Grayauskie as Mr. Marks; Meredith Wolfe as Mayme; and Ben Douse as George. Lisa Lockhart was most recently seen as the Mother in First Coast Opera's production of Amahl and the Night Visitors. A dramatic soprano in the opera world, she is making her dramatic theatrical debut with this demanding role of Esther for A Classic Theatre.

Melinda Morais appears as the Landlady of the boarding house for women where Esther lives with other single women. Elizabeth Myers, as Mrs. Van Buren who is a client of Esther's, made her debut with ACT in the recent production of An Evening of Tennessee Williams One Acts. Meredith Wolfe, in the role of Mayme the beautiful prostitute who is also a client of Esther's, is a newcomer to St. Augustine with extensive theatrical credits.John Grayauskie takes on the sensitive role of Mr. Marks, the Jewish fabric merchant who is attracted to Esther. Ben Douse, appearing as George, the handsome Panama Canal worker who sends love letters to Esther, is a St. Augustine native and is also making his ACT debut.
