CABARET at the Lyric's Flagler Center To Feature Avery Sommers May 20-23
Songstress Avery Sommers will bring her cabaret act to the Lyric's Flagler Center Friday, May 20 through Monday, May 23. Sommers is the first artist to perform in what will become a recurring cabaret series at the new venue.
Sommers has performed on Broadway in such classics as "Ain't Misbehavin'" and "Show Boat." She was in the national touring companies of "Chicago"and "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," and plays a recurring role as Regina Dansby on the soap opera "As The World Turns." She released a CD, "You're Gonna Hear From Me," in 2009.
Sommers has also performed her cabaret act at The Colony Hotel's Royal Room in Palm Beach. Her repertoire includes everything from Broadway show tunes to selections from the Great American Songbook.

The Lyric's Flagler Center is a versatile multi-purpose venue that can be easily transformed into a black box theater, a dance club, a dinner theatre or an intimate concert setting. The Center is owned by the City of Stuart and is operated by the Lyric Theatre. The venue is available for rent for everything from meetings to weddings; it will accommodate up to 370 people.
