Burt Reynolds Institute to Present ALL ABOUT EVE at Lake Park Mirror Ballroom, 3/2
Saturday evening, March 2, at 7:30 p.m. actors from The Burt Reynolds Institute for Film & Theatre (BRIFT) will enact All About Eve in much the same way as it was presented during the golden age of radio. Utilizing specially designed props and some traditional and not so traditional devices for sound effects, the performers will bring to life those days when radio was the dominant form of entertainment. And... to add to the fun, the audience becomes part of the show.

Praised by critics, the film was nominated for 14 Academy Awards and won six - including best picture. In 1990, All About Eve was selected for preservation in the U.S. National Film Registry. It appears on the AFI's list of 100 best films.
Airplayz will be hosted and directed by award-winning actor Gordon McConnell, who is an instructor at BRIFT. McConnell's career has taken him from Los Angeles to London to Amersterdam to New York City and, eventually to South Florida, where his performances have earned him the prestigious Carbonell Award.
