RETURNS TO MIAMI IN 2010

In a season that will hopefully delight audiences be they adults or a growing new generation of theatergoers, the emphasis of the four production 2008 - 2009 Broadway Across America Miami subscription season will be on long beloved musicals. The 08-09 season will include Martin Charnin's ANNIE, the delightful journey down the yellow brick road via THE WIZARD OF OZ, the awesome spectacle of this past summer's Broadway family sensation CIRQUE DREAMS JUNGLE FANTASY and Bob Fosse's record breaking Tony ® Award winning CHICAGO presented by Florida Theatrical Association and Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami Dade County in the Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House.

The "irresistible" (New York Times) "COMPLETE WORKS OF William Shakespeare (ABRIDGED)" by the Reduced Shakespeare Company presented exclusively by the Adrienne Arsht Center and a co-presentation of the family favorite CATS will be offered as nonsubscription season specials.  Tickets for these special engagements will be available at a later date. 

WICKED, which has broken house records in all of its South Florida engagements, is announced to return to the, Adrienne Arsht Center during the 2010 season with current subscribers being offered first priority to purchase tickets.

Season tickets for the Broadway Across America - Miami 2008-2009 four show package are currently available and range from $86.00- $338.00. Those interested in renewing or purchasing new season tickets can call the Season Ticket Hotline at 800-939-8587.

The phone lines are open Monday through Saturday, 10am - 6pm.

THE WIZARD OF OZ

October 28 - November 2, 2008

There is no place like home as the wonderful THE WIZARD OF OZ twists its Miami. The entire family will travel down the Yellow Brick Road and beyond with Dorothy, Toto and their friends in this lavish production featuring  special effects, fine choreography and classic songs. A celebration of the iconic 1939 MGM film starring Judy Garland, THE WIZARD OF OZ sounds fetching and done with well thought out stage craft.  The tornado touches down and transports us to an art deco Oz, complete with munchkins and flying monkeys.

ANNIE

December 2 - 7, 2008

Leapin' lizards! ANNIE is coming, again. The timeless tale of Little Orphan Annie is back, giving a whole new generation the chance to experience this musical about never giving up hope. Boasting songs, including "It's the HardKnock Life," "Easy Street," "N.Y.C.," and the ever optimistic "Tomorrow." 

CIRQUE DREAMS JUNGLE FANTASY

May 12 - 17, 2009

Direct from Broadway, CIRQUE DREAMS JUNGLE FANTASY is "The Grandest Circus Spectacle East of Vegas," as hailed by New York Magazine. This exotic encounter inspired by nature's unpredictable creations, are brought to life by an international cast of 25 soaring aerialists, spinebending contortionists, acrobats, jugglers and musicians. The feats performed in this action packed CIRQUE DREAM are enhanced with more than 150 costumes and are set in a fantastical jungle ignited by striking visual effects. From the aerial ballet of butterflies to the balancing giraffes, gigantic flowers and trees, this explosion of athleticism, theater and imagination is designed to exhilarate the entire family. CIRQUE DREAMS JUNGLE FANTASY was created and directed for Broadway by South Floridia's own  Neil Goldberg.

May 26 - 31, 2009

Come on, babe - experience it live and in person. The one, the only CHICAGO. "CHICAGO has no peer on Broadway in matters of wit, style and sheer musical riches," says Charles Isherwood of Variety. It's Broadway's razzle dazzle tale of sin and celebrity.  CHICAGO is the recipient of six Tony ® Awards in 1997, two Olivier Awards, and a Grammy in 1998.

CATS (Season Special)

December 31, 2008 - January 4, 2009

What began as a musical about cats after Andrew Lloyd Webber picked up a book of poems in an airport bookshop has become one of the longest running shows in Broadway's history. Winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, CATS features 20 Andrew Lloyd Webber's melodies, including the hit song, "Memory."
