ADRIENNE ARSHT CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS
OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY AND BACARDI U.S.A., INC. UNVEIL PLANS FOR BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® LOUNGE

BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® Lounge to serve as neighborhood gathering place in Miami's urban core;
Will be housed on ground floor of historic Carnival Arts Tower

In a move that will pair one of the nation's premier performing arts centers with one of the world's most recognized brands, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County announced that it has finalized a license agreement with Bacardi U.S.A., Inc. that will bring the company's BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® gin brand, the top-valued and fastest-growing premium gin in the world, to downtown Miami in the form of a BOMBAY SAPPHIRE-branded lounge.

The BOMBAY SAPPHIRE Lounge at the Adrienne Arsht Center will be located on the ground floor of the Center's landmark Carnival Arts Tower. The Lounge, scheduled for completion in early 2010, is a major component of a three-year, $300,000 contribution to the Adrienne Arsht Center by Bacardi U.S.A.

Details of the agreement were unveiled today by Ricky Arriola, Chairman of the Performing Arts Trust board of directors; John Esposito, President and CEO of Bacardi U.S.A. Inc; and M. John Richard, President and CEO of the Adrienne Arsht Center.

Renderings of the new lounge reveal a sleek, sophisticated design that whisks patrons into an environment evoking the iconic BOMBAY SAPPHIRE blue bottle. Downtown Miami's newest hotspot will feature a neon blue lighting scheme, modern furnishings, a collage of historic Miami photos, and outdoor seating on the Adrienne Arsht Center's Parker and Vann Thomson Plaza.

"Just as the Adrienne Arsht Center continues to evolve as a world-class entertainment venue, our surrounding neighborhood is undergoing a transformation of its own," said M. John Richard, President and CEO of the Adrienne Arsht Center. "Downtown Miami is coming alive and its performing arts center is fast-emerging as the City's town square. The BOMBAY SAPPHIRE Lounge will advance this trend by providing patrons, area residents, visitors, and the downtown business community with a destination meeting place in the heart of our city. It will be a natural extension of our role in bringing the community together for fun, discourse and time out from life's routines."

The Adrienne Arsht Center will operate the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE Lounge  before and after performances. Food and beverage service will be provided by Performing Arts Catering by Barton G. Menu items will include light dishes and snacks, as well as specialty cocktails from the Lounge's signature bar.

"Bacardi U.S.A. and BOMBAY SAPPHIRE gin are excited to announce this agreement with the Adrienne Arsht Center, an organization that is so important to the cultural life and development of downtown Miami," said John Esposito, President and CEO, Bacardi U.S.A., Inc.  "Since its creation more than 20 years ago, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE gin has become a symbol of style, sophistication and inspiration - qualities that align well with those of the Adrienne Arsht Center.  We look forward to creating a luxury venue where visitors can enjoy the best and most innovative cocktails in town."

Ricky Arriola, Chairman of the Performing Arts Center Trust board of directors, believes support from corporate friends like Bacardi U.S.A. is key to the Adrienne Arsht Center's institutional success. "With more and more corporations placing a premium on their community expenditures, well-run organizations that demonstrate a positive community impact are poised to grow their bases of private sector support. The Adrienne Arsht Center is preparing to end its second-straight year with a balanced budget at the same time that it is maximizing its role as a resource for children and families in Miami through innovative community outreach and educational programs. We are hopeful that other South Florida corporations follow in the footsteps of Bacardi U.S.A."

In addition to the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE Lounge, Barton G.'s signature full-service restaurant is slated to debut in the Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House in late 2009. The two venues will add a new dimension to the theater-going experience, enabling patrons to enjoy cocktails al fresco followed by gourmet cuisine and a world-class performance under one roof.
