Broadwayworld.com recently attended an exclusive screening of "SIR IVAN: I AM PEACEMAN" a documentary about the life of recording artist, Sir Ivan. Held at the Angelika Theater in SoHo, the event kicked off Sir Ivan's Transgender Awareness Campaign by his charitable organization, The Peaceman Foundation. Sir Ivan presented a $10,000 check to Abbe Land, Director and CEO of The Trevor Project, an organization that focuses on suicide prevention for the LGBT community.

"SIR IVAN: I AM PEACEMAN" is currently available on Amazon, Google Play and Vimeo on Demand. The film enjoys excellent direction by four-time Emmy award winner, Jim Brown who has also done documentaries on Billy Joel, Pete Seger and Peter, Paul and Mary.

The documentary chronicles the life of Ivan Wilzig, who made a bold departure from his profession in the banking industry, a business that was built by his father, Siggi Wilzig, a Holocaust survivor. Having always been very musical, Ivan reinvented his career as Sir Ivan, a pop-music performer and recording artist of peace-loving songs from the 60's and 70's. And with his latest original release, "Kiss All the Bullies Goodbye," Sir Ivan's mission to spread peace and love comes alive.

As an exciting pop-star, Sir Ivan leads a lavish, unrestrained lifestyle at his castle home in the Hamptons, where guests gather for his elaborate parties. But the film also reveals his deep family ties, natural charm, an altruistic spirit and a real mission to bring peace to the world with his own brand of music. At the heart of Sir Ivan's life is a man who believes in himself, his talents and helping those who suffer social injustice. Clad in his signature cape with a bedazzled peace sign, the documentary even shows Sir Ivan distributing food to the homeless.

Sir Ivan has stated, "As the son of a Holocaust survivor, I've always been an activist for people who have been persecuted"

You will want to see "SIR IVAN: I AM PEACEMAN." It is a fascinating look at one man's ability to follow his dreams. The one-hour documentary is released by POP TWIST through MVD Visual Entertainment Inc. For more information, visit www.SirIvan.com.
