Award Winning 'The Light In The Piazza' At Stage Door Theatre
"The Light in the Piazza" by Adam Guttel will begin previews at the Stage Door Theatre in Coral Springs on February 25th, with the official opening scheduled on March 5th.
Winner of 6 Tony Awards, 5 Drama Desk awards, and 2 Outer Critics Circle Awards, the musical is based on a novel by ElizaBeth Spencer, and is set in Florence and Rome in the summer of 1953. It is the story of a young American tourist, Clara Johnson, who meets and falls for a young Italian, Fabrizzio Nacarelli.
The Stage Door production is being directed by Tony Award nominee, Michael Leeds, with a cast that features Bruce Rebold, Gabrielle Visser, and Lara Hayhurst.Show times are Wed, Thurs, Sat, and Sun at 2PM, Thurs, Fri, Sat, at 8PM, and Sun at 7PM thru April 10.
The Stage Door is located at 8036 W. Sample Rd., Coral Springs. Price Range $38 to $42.00.
