Alliance Theatre Lab Goes 'Down the Road'

By: Aug. 22, 2006

New Theatre Company replaces one Lee Blessing work with another.

The ALLIANCE THEATRE Lab, a non-profit professional company holding residence at the Main Street Playhouse in Miami Lakes, is replacing the previously announced Two Rooms by Lee Blessing with another one of his works, the compelling thriller, Down the Road.

Down the Road is the story about a husband-wife journalist team who assist a convicted serial killer in writing his memoirs. As the interviews get more gruesome, the couple is drawn into the convict's dimension, therefore creating tension between the duo. What ensues is a battle of wills forcing the couple to confront their own ideas of love, power and ambition: how far is one willing to go to get a story?

Down the Road is slated for performances from November 30th to December 17th, 2006 at the Main Street Playhouse, 6766 Main Street, Miami Lakes. Show times are Thursday and Friday at 8pm, Saturday and Sunday at 7pM. Prices are $25 (Adults,) $15 (Seniors,) and $12 (Students with valid ID.) For tickets and more information, please contact (305) 567-2721.

Their e-mail address is thealliancelab@aol.com.
