Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre Adds Michael McKeever's FINDING MONA LISA to 2016-17 Season
Finding Mona Lisa explores the history of the world's most famous painting, including Leonardo da Vinci's meeting of Senora del Giocondo (Mona Lisa) and his masterful creation of her indelible countenance. This historical, funny and intriguing new piece presents highlights throughout the painting's infamous past, including her vandalism, her theft, her journey to America (at the request of First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy) and the various places she spent her storied lifespan, including hanging in Napoleon's bedroom, before her final resting place at the Louvre.
This world premiere production joins four stellar shows already secured by Actors' Playhouse for 2016 - 2017. The line-up features a carefully curated selection of exciting new Tony Award-winning musicals and plays direct from Broadway, and one large-scale classic Broadway musical for which the company is acclaimed.
