A COMIC ROMP ON THE JOYS AND TEMPTATIONS OF SEX INAUGURATES FLORIDA
STAGE'S EXCITING 2005-06 SEASON
Florida Stage, Florida's award-winning regional theatre dedicated to new and developing works,
proudly presents the World Premiere comedy A Marriage Minuet, by
David Wiltse, to open its innovated 2005-06 season, October 21
through November 27, at the theatre's facility in Manalapan's Plaza
del Mar. A hit in their 2005 New Voices Play-Reading Series, A Marriage Minuet explores the ethics of literature and love as two writers and their
wives negotiate a choreography beyond matrimony and end up in the
same hilarious dance of life. The cast will include Autumn Horne,
seen last season at Florida Stage in Hanging Fire; David Mann,
featured in the company's acclaimed production of Permanent
Collection; Kate Levy who was recently seen in the Broadway tour of
The Graduate; Laura Flanagan, making her Florida Stage debut, and
Stephen Schnetzer, who is probably most familiar from his work on
television, including seventeen years spent portraying lawyer Cass
Winthrop on "Another World". New York based Schnetzer has also
appeared at some of America's most highly regarded regional
theatres: Arena Stage, The American Shakespeare Theatre, The
McCarter Theatre, The Mark Taper Forum, and more than 20 productions
at The American Conservatory Theatre as well as "Law and
Order", "Law and Order, Special Victims Unit", "Guiding Light",
and "Days of Our Lives". Florida Stage also welcomes
back award-winning playwright David Wiltse, whose previous work at
Florida Stage, The Good German, was a highlight of the 2004-05
season.
