"SPECIALS" TO FURTHER HEAT UP THE SEASON

Arriving with a slew of Tony ® Awards, advance popularity and record setting box office numbers to match such earlier powerhouses as WICKED, The Lion King and THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, Tony ® Award winning Best Musical, Jersey Boys,is set to anchor the 2008-2009 Broadway Across America Fort Lauderdale theatrical season presented by Florida Theatrical Association at the AuRene Theatre of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

Coming in with equally exciting credentials are the still running Tony ® Award winning Broadway hits, AVENUE Q and A CHORUS LINE; Ian Fleming's CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG, flying car and all; MAMMA MIA!, the global smash hit ready to sell out houses yet again; and Tony ® Award winner Dame Edna LIVE My First Last Tour in what is anticipated to be one her saltiest appearances in years.

Kicking in as "specials," count on Tony ® winner HAIRSPRAY to rock the room; STOMP for high voltage virtuosity; and, in his premiere performance in South Florida, direct from Broadway, the brilliant actor Chazz Palminteri bringing 18 characters to life in his one man show, A BRONX TALE, directed by Tony ® Award winning director, Jerry Zaks. 

Season tickets for the Broadway Across America – Ft. Lauderdale 2008-9 six show season package will be available beginning April 11, 2008 and range from $131.00 to $487.00. Those interested in renewing or purchasing new season tickets can call 1-800-764-0700.

The Broadway Across America phone center is open Monday through Friday, 10am – 5pm. Renewal invoices are on their way to Season Ticket Holders this week.

When renewing, season ticket holders need to have their account number, renewal invoice, and credit card.

Season specials including HAIRSPRAY, A BRONX TALE and STOMP are not a part of the six show subscription package and will be available at a later date.
