STAGE TUBE: WICKED Mexico - 'Popular'

Mejorteatro.com y Ocesa Teatro presentan en la página oficial de Wicked México, uno de los números musicales de esta producción, estrenada el pasado 17 de octubre: Popular, interpretada por Cecilia de la Cueva (Glinda) y Danna Paola (Elphaba).

WICKED, declarada "El éxito más grande de Broadway" por el prestigiado diario The New York Times, se estrenará el 17 de octubre próximo en la ciudad de México, en su primera versión en español en el mundo, en una producción de OCESA División Teatro en coproducción con Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Gruop, Jon B. Platt y David Stone.

Ganadora de 35 de los premios más prestigiados en todo el orbe, entre ellos el Grammy y tres Tony, WICKED es la historia jamás contada de las brujas de Oz, de fama internacional gracias a la película El mago de Oz. Mucho antes de la llegada de Dorothy, otras dos chicas se conocen en la tierra de Oz. Una nacida con la piel verde esmeralda es inteligente, salvaje e incomprendida. La otra es hermosa, ambiciosa y muy popular. WICKED cuenta la historia de su notable odisea, de cómo estas dos improbables amigas crecen para convertirse en la Bruja Mala del Oeste y en Glinda la Buena.

Platt and David Stone.

Winner of 35 of the most prestigious awards around the globe, including a Grammy and three Tony Awards, WICKED is the untold story of the witches of Oz, internationally famous because of the movie "The Wizard of Oz." Long before Dorothy's arrival, two other girls meet in the land of Oz. One born with emerald green skin is smart, wild and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. WICKED tells the story of their remarkable odyssey; how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.
