Hear ye! The Orpheum Theatre's 2014 Summer Movie Series, presented by Orion Federal Credit Union, brings the comedy classic MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL to the Orpheum big screen on Friday, June 20th at 7:00 PM. To celebrate the movie's Middle Age setting, the Orpheum has partnered with the Memphis Chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) to offer historically inspired pre-show demonstrations and activities.

"We are thrilled to be a part of this movie event," says SCA spokesperson Jac Cordray. "The Society for Creative Anachronism will take audiences back in time to experience pre-17th century Europe in every way, from authentic costumes and armor to the ancient art of spinning and weaving."

Pre-movie activities include Medieval games for the entire family, intriguing and historically inspired craft and trade demonstrations, exciting fight entertainment, drink specials, and the opportunity to meet and interact with SCA members to discover more about pre-17th century society. As always, costumes are welcome and encouraged.

In MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL, the Monty Python comedy clan skewers King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table as they quest far and wide for the Holy Grail. Throughout their search, while riding imaginary horses no-less, they meet interesting people, knights, and adventures along the way. This film is rated PG.
