JUNIE B. JONES THE MUSICAL Coming to The Circuit Playhouse Image

Junie B. Jones, The Musical, with book & lyrics by Marcy Heisler and music by Zina Goldrich, based on the book series by Barbara Park, will run November 24 - December 23, 2017 at The Circuit Playhouse.

A delightful adaptation of four of Barbara Park's best-selling books brought to life in a genuinely comical musical. We follow the sassy little diva, Junie B. Jones, and her adventures in first grade. As Junie B. starts first grade, a lot of things have changed for her: her friend Lucille doesn't want to be her best pal anymore, and on the bus, Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. Also, Junie B. has trouble reading the blackboard, and her teacher, Mr. Scary, thinks she may need glasses. Throw in a friendly cafeteria lady, a kickball tournament, and a "Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal," and first grade has never been more exciting.

Taking on the title role of Junie B. Jones is Playhouse on the Square Associate Company Member Claire Clauson (Heathers: the Musical; 9 to 5). Joining her are Eileen Peterson (9 to 5; Rock of Ages) as Lucille, Audrey Smith (9 to 5) as May, Jari Head (Mamma Mia; Junie B. Jones in Jingle Bells Batman Smells) as Sheldon, Roman Kalai Kyle (The Flick; Ripcord) as Mr. Scary, and Standrew Parker (Junie B. Jones in Jingle Bells Batman Smells; 9 to 5) as Herb. Junie B. Jones, the Musical is directed by Whitney Branan.

Junie B. Jones, The Musical is November 24 - December 23, 2017 at The Circuit Playhouse. The Circuit Playhouse Super Sponsor is Dr. Thomas Ratliff. Junie B. Jones, The Musical is sponsored by tamburrino inc.
