Modern day Kuala Lumpur sees Josephine, a woman trafficked in in the bowels of the sex trafficking scene. She is rescued by a group of women who identifies themselves as the Good Shepherd sisters and receives a visit from a “spirited” guide in the form of St. John Eudes. St John Eudes takes Josephine on a journey through time and space to 19th century France to show her how the unlikeliest of people can make the greatest of changes in a positive way.
Josephine takes a peeks into the life of Rose Pelletier – a young girl growing up on the island of Noirmoutier, in a time when France is still coming to terms with the aftershock of the French Revolution. After the tragic loss of her parents Rose is placed in a boarding school where she revisits her childhood dream of being a nun. Rose eventually joins the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity of the Refuge, which was founded by Fr John Eudes. Rose adopts the name Sister Mary Euphrasia. and soon becomes Mother Mary Euphrasia when she is named as Mother Superior of the Refuge.
Follow the journey of Mother Euphrasia and the challenges she faces with the local Archbishop and the support from her closest mission partners, Count Augustine and Countess D’Andigne and other friends. Mother Euphrasia eventually formed a new Congregation known as Sisters of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd. Watch how under the leadership of Mother Euphrasia, the sisters work around the heirachical structures of the church to zealously continue their mission with the poor and marginalised.
