AN EMPTY PLATE AT THE CAFE DU GRAND BOEUF unfolds in the heart of Paris's renowned restaurant, where headwaiter Claude and waiter-in-training Antoine await the return of their despondent boss, Victor. As the staff, including waitress Mimi and chef Gaston, try to revive Victor's will to live, they resort to a unique gesture: preparing an elaborate meal through imaginative descriptions rather than actual dishes. Directed by Stacey Mancine Koloski, this poignant tale explores themes of desperation and the profound bond between those who serve and those they serve.
