The Regional Premiere of JERSEY BOYS Set to Close the Ogunquit Playhouse 2018 Season

The multi-Tony Award-winning, international sensation that took Broadway and the world by storm, makes its Northeast regional premiere at the Ogunquit Playhouse September 5 to October 28. Jersey Boys takes audiences on an exhilarating journey behind the music of mega-stars Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Follow the incredible story of four guys bound by One Dream, who worked their way from the streets of New Jersey to the heights of stardom. Audiences around the world have gone wild over the electrifying performances of the golden greats that took these hometown boys all the way to the top of the charts: "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Can't Take My Eyes Off You," "Dawn," "My Eyes Adored You," and many more. You're sure to leave exclaiming, "Oh, What a Night!"

Individual tickets are on sale now with prices starting at $52. Subscription packages are also available and guarantee the best seats for the best price. The Ogunquit production will be helmed by Broadway veteran Holly-Anne Palmer who was the Resident Director for the long-running Broadway smash hit show. Ms. Palmer's recent credits include the Broadway production and National Tour of Bring It On - The Musical, Dracula, Zhivago, As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing, and Cover Girls. She was last at the Ogunquit Playhouse in 2009 when she directed All Shook Up starring Sally Struthers. Gerry McIntyre returns to the Ogunquit stage to choreograph Jersey Boys. He was last at the Ogunquit Playhouse as choreographer for Priscilla, Queen of the Desert in 2016, 9 to 5 the Musical in 2012, and in 2010 as the Director/Choreographer for Chicago. Mr. McIntyre's long career, both on the stage and as director and choreographer has included many regional, Off-Broadway and Broadway productions including, the Dreamgirls National Tour, One Man Two Guvnors, My Fair Lady, A Chorus Line, Oklahoma!, Candide, Legally Blonde, Urinetown, and Hairspray. Adam Koch joins the creative team as Set Designer for Jersey Boys. He has designed sets for over one hundred productions nationwide including Million Dollar Quartet at the Apollo Theater in Chicago, Hello, Dolly! at Ford's Theater, Miss Saigon, Dreamgirls, and Bat Boy for 1st Stage, for which he received a 2015 Helen Hayes nomination. Mr. Koch previously designed the sets for the Ogunquit Playhouse productions of 2017's Mamma Mia!, Sister Act and Saturday Night Fever and for the 2016 production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, for which he received an IRNE Award nomination for Best Scenic Design.

The Ogunquit Playhouse season has four additional musicals slated for its stage in 2018: the all new revival of the sizzling song and dance celebration Smokey Joe's Café on stage May 16 to June 9 and directed and choreographed by Emmy Award-winner and Tony Award-nominee Josh Bergasse; a beautiful new production of the classic Oklahoma! on stage June 13 to July 7 celebrating its 75th Anniversary since opening on Broadway; the first regional production of the sumptuous new musical An American in Paris hitting the Ogunquit stage July 11 to August 4; and the U.S. premiere of the hilarious new musical Grumpy Old Men the Musical on stage August 8 to September 1 just in time to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the classic 1993 Warner Brothers film starring Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau and Ann-Margret. Elf the Musical will be produced for The Music Hall in Portsmouth, New Hampshire just in time for the holidays November 28 to December 16, 2018.
