'THE TEACHER FROM THE BLACK LAGOON' Set for Maine State Music Theatre Today

The Teacher From the Black Lagoon & Other Story Books, a musical revue based on favorite contemporary children's literature, will be performed at Maine State Music Theatre today, June 11th at 11:00am, 1:00pm, and 3:00pm at Pickard Theater on the campus of Bowdoin College in Brunswick. Ticket prices range from $10 to $14 and are available at www.msmt.org or by calling 207-725-8769.

Seven delightful stories come to life in Theatreworks USA's musical revue The Teacher From the Black Lagoon & Other Story Books. Follow Hubie's imagination as he faces his comically horrific fears and discovers that his new teacher is pleasantly human after all. Based on The Teacher from the Black Lagoon by Mike Thaler and Jared Lee, adapted by Michael Ogborn.

Other story books covered include: Dogzilla, I Want My Hat Back, Lily's Purple Plastic Purse, Love splat (Splat the Cat), The Grasshopper and the Ant

The mini tour for this production featured direction by Jeremy Dobrish and choreography by Connor Gallagher. The scenery is designed by Rob Odoriso, with costumes by Lora LaVon. This 60-minute musical is recommended for ages 4 and up.
