Berwick's Hackmatack Playhouse's production of "Singin' In the Rain" (one of Hackmatack's most Popular Productions in 1996) will close on Saturday Aug 13.
Chris Kane plays 1920's actor Don Lockwood in "Singin In the Rain". According to "Singin' In the Rain director Jeff Seabough, "As a professional ballroom dancer and theatre arts dance champion, Chris Kane has all the perfect qualities of the classic Hollywood movie musical leading man."
This is a return to Hackmatack Playhouse for Jeff Seabough. Last season he portrayed "Roger" in "The Producers". Last year he also completed a successful run of his solo play, "How to Make an American Family" as part of the Midtown International Theatre Festival in New York. Seabough is excited about directing this summer. He said, "'Singin' In The Rain' is a wonderful, nostalgic trip back to the Golden Age of Hollywood musicals. It's the best of the best!"

Coming up after "Singin'In the Rain?" It took 39 years to make Hackmatack what it is today and closing this 40th anniversary season (Wednesday, August 17 through Saturday, September 3) will be the Alfred Hitchcock fast paced comedy/mystery/thriller, "The 39 Steps".
