Ogunquit Holds Auditions For A CHORUS LINE 5/20-6/13
The Ogunquit Playhouse is holding auditions for its non-Equity and Actors' Equity Association summer productions. The 2009 season auditions are for A Chorus Line - (May 20-June 13 rehearsals begin May 12), Shout! The Mod Musical (June 17- July 11 rehearsals begin June 2), Guys and Dolls (July 15- Aug 8 rehearsals begin June 30), Singin' in the Rain (Aug 12- Sept 12 rehearsals begin July 28) and All Shook Up (Sept 16- Oct 11 rehearsals begin Sept. 1). The Playhouse is also holding auditions for its non-equity production of Disney's High School Musical (Show runs three weekends June 27 & 28, July 25 & 26, Aug 29 & 30, rehearsals begin May 26). All characters in this show are good singers and dancers.
For AEA and non-Equity open casting calls actors should prepare 16-32 bars of up-tempo musical theatre song and be prepared to dance. This is an open call; therefore appointments will not be taken. Auditions are at Eastland Park Hotel, 157 High Street, Portland, Maine on MONDAY, MARCH 23, from NOON - 8:00PM and Jonathan's Restaurant, 92 Bourne Lane, Ogunquit, Maine, TUESDAY MARCH 24 - NOON - 8:00PM. Hampton & York) to exit #44 South Portland/Downtown Portland onto I-295 N (toll) take exit #6A Forest Ave. onto Blue Star memorial Hwy (US-1). Continue on US-1 1/4 mile continue on Forest Ave. (ME-100)turn R on Congress St.,turn R on High St. hotel on R.
Directions to Jonathan's from the S: I-95 N tolls in North Hampton & York, Exit #7 in York R off ramp, Turn L onto US Rt. 1, continue N for 7miles(Ogunquit Playhouse on R) continue 1/2 mile beyond the Playhouse to Bourne Lane, R on Bourne Lane and immediately turn L into Jonathan's parking lot.
Directions from the N : I-95 S exit #19 in Wells, turn L off exit onto Rt. 9B, continue on 9B to Rt 1 approx., turn R onto Rt 1 going S, continue on Rt 1 through downtown Ogunquit, L on Bourne Lane and immediately turn L into Jonathan's parking lot.
