The Mad Horse Theatre Company's new season will start with the hilarious play Becky Shaw, followed by a return of the theatre's DARK KNIGHT SERIES.

Becky Shaw is about a newlywed couple who fixes up two romantically challenged friends; wife’s best friend meets husband’s sexy and strange new co-worker. When an evening calculated to bring happiness takes a dark turn, crisis and comedy ensue in this wickedly funny play that asks what we owe the people we love and the strangers who land on our doorstep. Mad Horse's production of Becky Shaw will be the directorial debut of Mad Horse Company member James Herrera. Becky Shaw runs January 26-February 12, 2012.

Mad Horse Theatre's DARK NIGHT SERIES is proud to present an encore presentation of THE MAIDS, by Jean Genet, directed by Caitlin Hylan. This return engagement is part of an ongoing commitment to support emerging theatre artists in the community and to give these worthwhile productions a chance to reach the Mad Horse audience.

“With exquisitely haunting acting by three of Portland's most formidable young male actors — Ian Carlsen, Bari Robinson, and Michael Dix Thomas — and an eerie directorial innovation by Hylan, this production of Genet's classic may be the scariest show you see this season." Megan Grumbling, Portland Phoenix. Performances are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, January 30-February 8, 2012. There will be a special talk-back following the February 5 performance. All shows are pay what you can.
