By: BWW News Desk
Good Theater, the professional theater company in residence at the St. Lawrence Arts Center, kicks off its 14th season tonight, September 23, with the original musical revue, NO BIZ LIKE SHOW BIZ. This show is a tribute to Mary Martin and Ethel Merman starring three singers: Marie Dittmer, Lynne McGhee and Jen Means.
NO BIZ focuses on the great musical moments introduced by these two legendary artists from their earliest appearances on the Great White Way in shows like Girl Crazy and Leave It to Me to their final appearances on Broadway four decades later in Hello Dolly and I Do! I Do! Conceived and directed by Brian P. Allen, the show hits many of the great songs introduced by Martin and Merman. NO BIZ plays September 23-October 11 with performances on Wednesdays & Thursdays 7:00 ($22); Fridays 7:30 ($27), Saturdays 3:00 ($27) & 7:30 ($30) and Sundays 2:00 ($30).
