Freeport Players Seeks Marchers for 4th of July Mikado-Inspired Parade, Free Ticket Offer to Show

Freeport Players is seeking new or experienced marchers to participate in their 4th of July Mikado-themed Parade. Large crowds are expected due to LLB's 100th Anniversary this year.

The parade takes place Wednesday morning, July 4th at 10am. Costuming will be provided, however, donations are welcomed. Marchers will need to arrive at the Freeport Middle School on Kendall Lane by 9 a.m. Once placed in the line up, marchers will practice a few moves and discuss when and how to hand out the flyers. The march will conclude at Holbrook St., where a group picture will be taken at the Memorial of the Safety Building.

Freeport Players is also seeking ushers and concessions people for The Mikado. If you would like to help make our patrons happy and see the show for free, contact Elizabeth at info@fcponline.org. Please indicate which date or dates you are available. Performance dates are a preview performance on Thursday evening July 19 and Friday & Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons from July 20 - August 5.

Tickets for The Mikado are on sale now online at http://www.fcponline.org/tix.htm and at The Thrift Store at Freeport Community Center on Depot Street. They are $10 in advance, a $5 savings over the $15 at-the-door price.
