Children's Theater Camp At Hackmatack Playhouse Registration Now Open

By:

Registration is underway for the 2009 Children's Theatre Camp at The Hackmatack Playhouse, Route 9 in Berwick, Maine. Katie Rodger is the director of the program. This is Rodger's sixth year with Hackmatack and said, "I have loved every moment of the past 6 years as choreographer and assistant director and I can't wait to work with the children as director!" The children's 2009 summer play will be The Pirates of Penzance and is scheduled to be performed
on July 31 and August 1,7, & 8 at 10 AM.

During the camp, children take part in working on the costumes, set, and makeup. They learn about being on-stage as well as off, about being a strong performer and an excellent audience member. Rodger said, "The program also includes games, and lots of opportunity to act, sing, and dance."
Hackmatack Children's Theatre Camp is geared for children between the ages of 7 and 13. No experience is necessary. Registration for Children's Camp is now underway. Call Hackmatack Playhouse at 207-698-1807 or email HackPlayhouse@aol.com. More information is also available on-line at www.Hackmatack.org.
