Feature: A FIRESIDE CHRISTMAS at The Fireside Dinner Theatre

From the moment you enter The Fireside, the warm ambiance of a crackling fire and music wafting from the baby grand transport you to a nostalgic time where Christmas is magical and wishes comes true. The dining room is transformed into a winter wonderland with white poinsettias and frosted branches sparkling among the softly twinkling lights. The delicious aromas of the featured show menu set the stage for the show to come.

Inside the festively adorned theatre the well-sated audience is filled with anticipation as they relax in their seats to enjoy an evening of holiday bliss. The show opens with a dazzling production of Christmas Bells including an impressive hand bell production by the talented singers.

A FIRESIDE CHRISTMAS welcomes back many veteran performers, so if you are a regular at the Fireside, you're sure to recognize many past favorites. And no holiday show would be complete without adorable children, and these kids belt out "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" like you've never experienced before. There is a nod to the Green Bay Packers and a John Denver look-alike who performs "Aspen Glow." The first act closes with a playful rendition of "The Snowman" complete with life-size bounding snowmen and graceful dancing snowflakes.

Especially touching was the tribute to Natalie Hershman, who performed her first Fireside Theatre production back in 2007 at the tender age of seven. Her talent has grown exponentially, and she is certain to have a bright future on the stage.

Highlights include "Silent Night" performed by AaRon Casey, accompanied by acoustic guitar, and a nativity scene where the costumes are as spectacular as the performance. A FIRESIDE CHRISTMAS culminates with "O Holy Night," featuring the remarkable Caitlin Borek in a moving, glorious finale, which left the audience in awe.

As always, The Fireside Dinner Theatre delivers a heartwarming show that boasts something for everyone, and if you're looking for a place to find the holiday spirit, look no further.

A FIRESIDE CHRISTMAS runs at The Fireside Dinner Theatre in Fort Atkinson, WI, through December 23rd. For more information on A FIRESIDE CHRISTMAS or other upcoming shows, please call (800) 477-9505 or

BWW Review: NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 at Four Winds Farm For Capital City Theatre
June 14, 2022

What did our critic think? Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 is not your typical musical. It is an immersive, emotional, raucous ride that I was thrilled to have witnessed. It is not, to say the least, your typical musical. In fact, it is an electro pop opera featuring a mix of rock, pop, soul, electronic dance music and classic Broadway.
