Dream or nightmare that King is dying, written in 1962 by Eugène Ionesco? It is hard to imagine Christine Delmotte put his steps in the stage directions of the master of the absurd: "A throne room, vaguely gothic, vaguely dilapidated ... a king in purple robe, crown on the head ..." But the wear of the kingdom will be well represented by this great portrait of King Berenger, upstage, which turns to abstraction, dissolves, the sound effects too.

The King of Delmotte plays shirtless, barefoot, in jeans, and when he talks to pick up his crown, it captures only the void. This king then, to whom his death was announced in a half hour, "at the end of the representation" can not imagine leaving life: "Why I was born if not forever" This revolt, he moves from clowning to meditation, he panics, takes refuge in the dream, it is tragic, childlike, tender and cruel, his body speaks, screams, broke up, carved, beautifully carved by the lights of Nathalie Borlée.

"I'm that nodes that are resistant," says first Berenger, and the entire room will be used to unravel, to agree to separate from life, the pot-au-feu as the right of life and death over his subjects. Taming the idea of death. A path near the eastern philosophies that fascinate Christine Delmotte long time and it cuts, despite a somewhat verbose text, even with some cuts. Question rhythm and mix well dosed tones while fluidity.

This Ionesco then moves away from The Bald Soprano, The Lesson of, revives more with Shakespeare's King Lear, one of the human Ionesco himself terrified by the idea of death that he had grazed a few years before write the King is dying. Then he dare not laugh as much, even if the sarcasm, slapstick still resurface here and there.
