Moore are delighted to announce Fifth Third Bank's A Christmas Carol, based on the book by Charles Dickens, adapted by Barbara Field and directed by Drew Fracher. Dickens' classic tale of hope and redemption finds extraordinary new life in Actors Theatre's joyous staging. Celebrate the splendor of the holidays with this spectacular production brimming with festive fun, soaring ghosts and cheerful carols that will charm audiences of all ages. A Christmas Carol will preview November 22 and November 23, openNovember 25 and run through December 23 in the Pamela Brown Auditorium.

Long before Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys took center stage in the hearts of young readers as the iconic teen detectives, Seckatary Hawkins and his gang of "Fair and Square" boys were solving mysteries and stopping crimes along the riverbanks of the Ohio River. Beginning in 1918, the members of the Fair and Square Club captured the imagination of thousands of children and adults alike, as they explore the diverse Kentucky landscape in pursuit of adventure, mystery, and doing good. For over three decades, Schulkers' creation provided inspiration to many young readers, including Harper Lee, who references his work in her iconic novel To Kill a Mockingbird.

The Kentucky Center Governor's School for the Arts Names New Director

The Kentucky Center has appointed Nick Covault to the position of Director of its Governor's School for the Arts (GSA) program.  Covault will be responsible for supervision of the program, which for nearly 30 years, in partnership with the state, has enabled Kentucky high school students to engage in the arts during a three week, immersive residential summer program, providing instruction in nine disciplines: Architecture + Design, Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Instrumental Music, Musical Theatre, New Media, Visual Art and Vocal Music. The program also works to engage high school students across the state interested in the arts through its fall ArtShops program.
