After more than fifteen years making music, husband and wife team Linford Detweiler and Karin Bergquist have proven repeatedly that their group, Over the Rhine, is in it for the long haul. Their commitment is underscored by their latest release, The Long Surrender, an intimate epic shot through with the joys and sorrows of modern-day existence. Paste magazine named the pair to its list of the "World's Greatest Living Songwriters".

· Detweiler and Bergquist's evocative, earthy songwriting and impassioned delivery is at its finest in The Long Surrender. The fan-funded recorded, to be released by the band's own Great Speckled Dog label, will see the light of day twenty years after their 1991 debut. It's the result of a collaboration between the couple and producer Joe Henry, whose songs and recording they have long admired.
