The Kentucky Center Reveals Details for Fall/Winter Season

The Kentucky Center is offering a wide variety of entertainment as it opens its 33rd performing arts season. Fall performances will feature legendary musician Bob Dylan and His Band, country superstar Vince Gill, the interpretive dance troupe Pilobolus, host and creator of This American Life Ira Glass, local sensation and season nine winner of The Voice, JorDan Smith and many others.

Shadowland was created in 2009 in collaboration with the lead writer for the popular animated series SpongeBob SquarePants, Steven Banks. The story is a surreal experience of a young girl's sensational world as she comes of age. Shadowland incorporates multiple moving screens of different sizes and shapes to create a performance that merges projected images and front-of-screen choreography.

The percussion group STOMP, famous for using everyday items to create music and physical theatre, won a Primetime Emmy in 1998 for their HBO special Stomp Out Loud. Founders Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas were in a band called "Pookiesnackenburger" in the 1980s before forming STOMP.
