Kronos Quartet collaborates with Grammy Award-winning choral ensemble Tonality to present At War With Ourselves - 400 Years of You, a modern song cycle that reflects on race relations and social justice in the United States. The piece features music by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Michael Abels and text by National Book Award-winner Nikky Finney, grounded in historical and contemporary themes. Conducted by Alexander Lloyd Blake, the performance marks the Los Angeles debut of new Kronos Quartet members Gabriela Díaz and Ayane Kozasa. This event will take place at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.
