World Premiere of Peter Schulyer's SCHOOL FOR WAYWARD GIRLS Opens this Month

By:

LOFT ENSEMBLE announces opening night of their world premiere production of PETER SCHULYER's SCHOOL FOR WAYWARD GIRLS. Performances begin with opening night April 22nd at 8 pm.

Based on the true story of a dance between cloistered, pregnant, teenage girls and Jesuit high school boys in the mid-1960s, this world premiere ranges from heart wrenching to funny. Nuns and priests, more dysfunctional than the kids could ever hope to be, try to guide the young through the treacherous world of puberty. It is an exploration of love and longing, sex and taboo, and an example of the family planning challenges faced in a pre- Roe v. Wade culture.

"...each of us longs for love. We grasp at whatever version life offers no matter how twisted and grotesque it may be."

The Cast includes: Joe Bills, Adam Chambers (Disney's Girl vs Monster, Rosewood, Goliath, NCIS), Madison Charest, Peter Elliott, Arianna Giorgio, Stacy Highsmith (The Mentalist, Criminal Minds, ER), Dayeanne Hutton (Classsic Alice, Social Medium), Marc Leclerc, Sammie Levine, Zac McCoy, Ainsley Peace, Matthew Wayne Roberts, Molly Senack, Shane Tometich, Carolyn Vasko, JarEd Wilson,
