Multi-award winning Rogue Machine launches its sixth world premiere production in Los Angeles. Monkey Adored, by the writer who captivated critics with his "visually and emotionally gripping" Treefall - 10 BEST of 2009 - LA Weekly, will run for a limited time only. Last season, Rogue Machine's Four Places garnered 3 Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards (including Production of the Year), 5 Garland Awards (including Production of the Year), and the Ovation Award for Best Production.

"This is a script that has been in my life for a long time. Slowly evolving through various readings at The Kennedy Center, Theatricum Botanicum, and a week-long workshop with The Inkwell Theatre in Washington, DC," reflects playwright Henry Murray. "I am very confident that Rogue Machine is the place to complete its development, with John Perrin Flynn at the helm."

The dog is in love with the monkey, who may be having an affair with the cat who's smitten with the rat...and let's not even talk about what the humans are up to. This allegorical and uniquely staged performance utilizes actors, puppetry, and projection in a collision of the comedic and the tragic. It is a tender love story that reeks of a ribald sex farce, set in a brutally violent world where compassion and understanding might still have a chance.

MONKEY ADORED opens on Saturday, October 8th and runs Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 3pm through November 20, 2011. ROGUE MACHINE is located at 5041 W. Pico Blvd., LA, CA 90019. Tickets are $25 (Fri) and $30 (Sat & Sun). Reservations: 855-585-5185 or at www.roguemachinetheatre.com.
