The Visceral Company Presents HEMOPHELIA'S HOUSE OF HORRORS, 4/26-6/8

By:

The Visceral Company will present HEMOPHELIA'S HOUSE OF HORRORS, an all-new horror-themed comedy/variety show that will leave you screaming... with laughter! Our very own ghoul of cool, Hemophelia, hosts a troupe of seven experienced comedians as they bring you hysterical tales of the macabre, hilarious original songs, weird puppets, and more.

HEMOPHELIA'S HOUSE OF HORRORS is conceived and directed by Visceral's artistic director Dan Spurgeon (2013 LA Weekly Theater Award winner), with sketches and original songs written by Matt DeNoto and puppets by Jana Wimer.

HEMOPHELIA'S HOUSE OF HORRORS will play Friday and Saturday evenings at 10:30 pm, from April 26 through June 8, 2013, at the Lex Theatre, 6760 Lexington Ave., Hollywood, CA. This show is not recommended for young children.

Official opening night is Friday, May 3. Tickets are $15 for all performances and are available through www.thevisceralcompany.com. There are special preview performances April 26 & 27 with all tickets just $7.

HEMOPHELIA'S HOUSE OF HORRORS is performed by a seven-person comedy troupe of Casey Christensen, Matt DeNoto, Torrey Halverson, Samm Hill, Brian Prisco, Cloie Wyatt Taylor and Cynthia Zitter*. Lara Fisher is featured as Hemophelia, your emcee for the ghoulish proceedings.

Lighting design is by Dave Sousa (LA Weekly Theater Award nominee) and costume design by Erica D. Schwartz.

The Visceral Company is dedicated to presenting killer shows from darker places. We hope to encourage further onstage exploration of the horror, thriller and science fiction genres, which have been underrepresented in theatre, and to build an appreciation of theatre in the younger audiences that are traditionally drawn to them.

* Member, Actor's Equity Association. This production is presented under the AEA LA 99-Seat Theatre Plan.
