By: Tyler Peterson
With support from the Los Angeles Female Playwrights Initiative, The Vagrancy proudly presents the tactical reading and talk back of Michael Jackson IS DEAD (HEE-HEE), the next female-generated new work being developed in their TACTICAL READS Series.
Set outside of the gates of Neverland in the days immediately following the death of The King of Pop. Michael Jackson IS DEAD (HEE-HEE) delves into the shock and mourning of some of MJ's most loyal fans as they anxiously await news of a potential funeral. Enduring intense heat, poor cell reception, and a lack of water, one group of neighbors is forced to grapple with the repercussions of celebrity devotion and their own delusions. Directed by Rachel Skytt. With Nina Harada, Stephanie Berlanga, Bruce Lemon Jr., Josh Ballinger & Katherine LaVictoire. Rachel Skytt grew up in Solvang, California.
