The REP Ends the 2010 Season With Amadeus

By:

The Repertory East Playhouse will end its 2010 Season with Peter Shaffer's critically acclaimed Amadeus, sponsored by Power Auto Group of Valencia.

Winner of the Tony Award for Best Play and the Academy Award for Best Film, this provocative work tells the tale of one of history's most memorable rivalries: Antonio Salieri and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This complex exploration of human emotion and rivalry, and the contrast between Saleiri's malevolent intent and Mozart's playful genius makes this theatre piece both thought provoking and wonderfully entertaining. This is a theatre experience that you won't want to miss!

Amadeus opens on Friday, November 12, with an Opening Night Gala at 7:00pm and curtain at 8:00pm. Opening Night Gala is sponsored by Forester Landscaping with food sponsored by RSVP Catering and wine by Engelmann Cellars.

Directed by Ovington Michael Owston, Amadeus stars Daniel Lench, Dan Sykes, Amber Schwinn, Bess Fanning, Kyle Johnson, Harry Bennett, Rod Oden, John Morris, Carole Catanzaro, and TG Cody.

Mix and mingle with other patrons of The REP before the show in the Hydeaway Lounge: the REP's cool, new, full-service cocktail lounge. The Hydeaway Lounge opens one hour before every performance, and is the perfect place to meet new friends and enjoy a cocktail before the show.

The REP will host post show discussions immediately following each Sunday Matinee. Join the cast and crew for an intimate discussion about the process of creating live theatre.

Amadeus will run through December 12. Show times are Friday and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. This show will SELL OUT! Advanced reservations are highly recommended. Tickets are $18 for Adults and $16 for students and seniors. Group rates are available. For tickets, purchase online at www.repeastplayhouse.org or call 661-288-0000. The Repertory East Playhouse is located at 24266 Main Street in Newhall, CA. 91321.
