The Color Collective Heads To The Complex Hollywood!

By:

The Color Collective Heads To The Complex Hollywood! ImageThe Color Collective - a sketch and variety show that celebrates LA's rich cultural diversity - is no stranger to applause. Following a successful run at the Hollywood Fringe Festival and Encore Presentation - including sold out performances, 100% Certified Sweet status on Better Lemons, and favorable reviews by Gia On The Move and Stage Raw - the Complex Theater in Hollywood has offered The Color Collective a chance to do monthly drop-in shows as part of their fall schedule.

Saying goodbye to their former home at the Pack Theatre - where The Color Collective enjoyed a year and a half of standing room only shows - The Color Collective is expanding their reach to settle-in as a monthly staple in the line-up at The Complex Hollywood. 'We're excited to work with the Complex because we want to show our product to as many people as possible - it's something we believe in wholeheartedly," says Creator and Executive Producer Royce Shockley; 'our success at Fringe really validated what we as a group are trying to do.'

But the magic of the Hollywood Fringe Festival doesn't just lie in the accolades the group received or opportunities given, 'the Hollywood Fringe experience brought us closer as a team and as friends. Not only from our multiple shows, but by meeting other performers and being exposed to all kinds of theater' says Stacy Rumaker-Bouchoux, head writer of The Color Collective and host of The Night-Cap with Stacy Rumaker at the Pack Theatre, adding 'It's one of the best festivals we've done.'

And the group hasn't stopped there - they've also started to film some of their most popular sketches from their run at The Hollywood Fringe Festival, adding a production arm to their already expanding performance schedule; they've taken their fresh brand of comedy to battle at the The Pinup Squirrel's sketch showdown at UCB Inner Sanctum - where they currently reign as champions; and they're slated to appear at Second City's Diversity in Comedy Festival this fall. Featuring an extensive cast of diverse performers, DJ Richie Aaron spinning beats on stage, audience interaction, dance, stand-up, music and more - The Color Collective is a group on the rise that you can't help but watch.

The Color Collective is hosted and created by Royce Shockley, guided by the direction of Mirage Thrams, with assistant direction by Sean Michael Boozer and co-produced by Corinne Chooey, Kentrell Newton, Richard Aaron and Stacy Rumaker.

Complex Hollywood - Ruby Theatre - 6476 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90025. Ticket Prices: $10 advanced sales, $12 general admission, $15 at the door
