The Carpenter Performing Arts Center Hosts Joan Collins In A Night Of Glamour And Stardom On 10/16

Icon and legend Joan Collins, performs her one woman show, An Evening with Joan Collins, in an exclusive one night only engagement, Fri., Oct. 16, 8 p.m. at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach.   The internationally acclaimed actress, author and columnist, shares an intimate, playful, and entertaining evening, taking an irreverent look at the highs and lows of her remarkable roller coaster life and career.  From her early pin-up model days, to her infamous you-love-to-hate-her role as ‘Alexis Carrington Colby’ on the hit television series, Dynasty, Joan Collins offers her unique perspective on working with some of the biggest names and legends in Hollywood.  An Evening with Joan Collins at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center marks the West Coast premiere of her show and one of only two U.S. performance dates.  Ms. Collins first performed her show last Fall, receiving critical acclaim for her sold out date at The Mohegan Sun.

Joan Collins made her London stage debut at the age of nine in Ibsen’s A Doll’s House and since then she has performed in more than 60 feature films, dozens of television programs and theatrical productions as well as penning 16 books and marrying five husbands. Ms. Collins has been honored with numerous awards throughout her career, including the prestigious OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) by H.M. Queen Elizabeth II for her contribution to the arts and ongoing charity work. Ms. Collins is an honorary founding member of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, a patron of the International Foundation for Children with Learning Disabilities, and the Joan Collins Wing of the Children’s Hospital of Michigan was named in her honor.

An Evening with Joan Collins is part of the Wit & Wisdom Series at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center.  Tickets for An Evening with Joan Collins are $50 and $45 for seniors.
