THE MUPPETS Come to El Capitan Theatre Starting 11/23

Starting November 23, Disney's "The Muppets" dominates the El Capitan Theatre and offers fun for the entire family. Plus, before every screening, enjoy a special holiday sing-a-long with Kermit and Miss Piggy, LIVE on the El Capitan stage!

Hollywood's legendary El Capitan Theatre is thrilled to celebrate the holidays Muppet style with its special engagement of Disney's "The Muppets" from November 23, 2011 through January 8, 2012, it was announced today November 16, 2011, by Lylle M. Breier, senior vice president, worldwide special events for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Plus, before every showing of the film, Kermit and Miss Piggy will appear live onstage to lead El Capitan guests in a holiday sing-a-long presented by Kodak, with all guests receiving a free Jinglebell bracelet to help them join in the fun! Miss Piggy will even have her couture wardrobe collection from the film on display after the movie, which includes her designer Zac Posen gown and her peep-toed Christian Louboutin pumps.

Daily showtimes are 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.. Tickets are on sale now, and available at the El Capitan Theatre (6838 Hollywood Blvd.), online at

www.elcapitantickets.com, or by calling 1-800-DISNEY6. Special group rates for parties of 20 or more are available by calling 1-818-845-3110. Showtimes subject to change.

On select days, El Capitan guests may also enjoy "Disney's Most Sensational Muppet Party!" before or after the movie at Disney's Soda Fountain & Studio Store. This one-of-a-kind party features "Wocka Wocka Wocka" fun for everyone, with finger sandwiches, fruit salad, cupcake decorating and a special gift and commemorative photo provided by Kodak for every guest! Seating is limited and reservations are required.

The El Capitan Theatre will also host a special "Tiny Tot Tuesday" on November 29, at 10:45 a.m. only. During this special screening of Disney's "The Muppets" parents and small children can enjoy the movie in a "Tiny Tot" friendly way-complete with lights dimmed rather than out and reduced sound levels!

Commenting on the announcement, Lylle Breier, senior vice president, worldwide special events for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, said, "We can't think of a better way to ring in the holidays than with Kermit and Miss Piggy live on the El Capitan Theatre stage. They will lead audiences in a festive sing-a-long before every show. This brand new Muppet adventure from Disney is sure to be a highlight of the holiday season, and there isn't a better place to play the music and light the lights than at the El Capitan."
