The Attic Theatre and Film Center, located at 5429 West Washington Boulevard in Los Angeles, opened the Los Angeles premiere of Ug on Friday, January 19th, 2007.  The play has now been extended.

"This romantic, doo-woppy, honky tonkin', drum beatin', porcupine eatin', club clompin', hilariously clever stone age musical comedy will play Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at 8 PM through February 24th, then play Friday and Saturday nights through March 10th," state press notes on the show.

Ug is written by Jim Geoghan, the prolific TV writer who penned the musical Beehive.  Geoghan has written dozens of scripts for over fifteen television series, has a show he co-created and co-produces called "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody," currently running on The Disney Channel.  Ug's music is written by six-time Emmy winner, the late Rick Rhodes, with lyrics by Rick and Vivian Rhodes, and Jim Geoghan.  The musical director is Ovation Award nominee Louis Durra, the choreography is by Terry Barto.

Directing the show is The Attic's Artistic Director and veteran TV and film actor Jerry Kernion who recurs in Geoghan's "Suite Life" as crazy Chef Paolo.  Exec producers are James Carey, John Szura, and Geoghan.  Kernion and Christine Stump produce.

Tickets are $25. There are student and senior discounts and AEA members may buy any unsold seat at 7:55 PM at half price when showing a current membership card.  The reservation number is (323) 525-0600 Ext 2#.
