Stefan Marks to Direct World Premiere of SPACE at Stella Adler
Crooked Arrow Productions announces, acclaimed playwright Stefan Marks will direct the world premiere of his new play "Space" at The Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood. Space is a two-act, dark comedy dealing with outer space, a dysfunctional family and surviving life in the modern world. The play opens July 15th and runs Thursday-Saturday nights at 8pm through August 20th.
Marks has a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Cal State Northridge where he received the Padua Hills Playwriting Scholarship.
His last play "Hello" also produced at The Stella Adler received 6 Ovation nominations including wins for Playwriting and Lead Actor. Past shows include: "Lucy & The Wolf" (LA WEEKLY GO!), "The Good Year" (LA WEEKLY GO!), "White Whine"
Having spent the last 30 years of his life in a mental institution, Kurt Finge is now back in the 'real world' trying to adjust to modern life and fix his relationship with his ailing mother. A fanciful dreamer obsessed with black and white 40's musicals, Kurt longs for a second chance at a 'normal life'. With the help of his hospital appointed "facilitator', Ann, Kurt is forced to face some long-buried familial truths.
SPACE will play at Stella Adler Theatre - Main Stage, 6773 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood from July 15 - Aug. 20, 2016. Performance schedule is Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8:00PM. Tickets will be $25 General Admission. More details and cast to follow.
