Son of Semele Ensemble (SOSE) will present the 2nd annual Company Creation Festival (CCF), playing in Silver Lake at the Son of Semele Theater from January 11 – March 4, 2012. The 2012 festival will feature the work of ensembles from Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and New York.

About the fest: Company Creation Festival is a curated festival of new work hosted by the award-winning Los Angeles theater company Son of Semele Ensemble. CCF supports bold and daring new works generated by ensembles. Projects are selected through a written application process. Last year's festival was the birth-place of the critically-acclaimed smash hit Cyclops: A Rock Opera which received a subsequent run at Son of Semele, followed by the Carrie Hamilton Theater at the Pasadena Playhouse and the New York Musical Theatre Festival.

The 2012 festival will include the following productions:

As Long as Fear Can Turn to Wrath

About Son of Semele
Son of Semele Ensemble was profiled in 2004 as one of the "hippest, hottest, most innovative theatre troupes in the U.S." by American Theatre, and featured on the magazine's cover. Over the past ten years the company's work has received 17 regional awards and award nominations including the Ovation Award, the L.A. Weekly Theatre Award and the NAACP Theatre Award. For the past three years, SOSE has been developing its own company-devised plays, one of which was created in collaboration with Center Theatre Group. Through CCF and their year-round curated guest-production program, SOSE has become a resource and home for progressive theater makers in Los Angeles.

Tickets
Individual tickets are $18 online and $20 at the door. Festival passes (one admission to each production) are $35, available online only. Box office opens one half hour prior to curtain. Son of Semele Theater is located in Silver Lake at 3301 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90004 (one mile west of Alvarado).

Performances are at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, and at 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
