Soap Fan Mystery Theater Presents Staged Reading Christie's SPIDER'S WEB, 3/14
By: BWW News Desk
The Soap Fan Mystery Theater will present a staged reading of Christie's SPIDER'S WEB on March 13 and 14.
SPIDER'S WEB is the story of Clarissa, the play's glamorous "spider," who stumbles upon a dead body in her husband's study. Agatha Christie's suspects are played by Daytime TV's most popular stars. Together they spin a web of deceit to throw the Police Inspector - and the audience - off the track until the true killer and motives are revealed. Nothing is what it seems in this humorous and exciting mystery thriller. Clarissa Hailsham-Brown will be played by Juliet Mills ("Passions," THE ELEPHANT MAN) and Sir Rowland by Maxwell Caulfield ("Grease 2," CHICAGO). Ricky Paull Goldin ("Another World," "All My Children," GREASE) will play Inspector Lord; Adam Mayfield (All My Children," "Boston Public") will play Elgin, the Butler; and Jacob Young ("General Hospital," BEAUTY AND THE BEAST) will play Jeremy Warrender. Agatha Christie is the most widely published author of all-time. Only the Bible has outsold her collective book sales of over four billion copies. She is currently the most translated individual author in the world. Her stage play THE MOUSETRAP is still running in London's West End after 57 continuous years. In a career spanning over half a century, she has written 80 mystery novels and short story collections plus 19 plays. The majority of her mysteries have been adapted for the big screen and television, many featuring her most iconic detectives Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. As her plays continue to successfully tour England with Bill Kenwright's Agatha Christie Theatre Company, a new generation has been introduced to her works through the launch of cutting-edge video games, forever securing Agatha Christie's title - "Queen of Crime."For more information or to order tickets, visit online at soapfanmysterytheatre.com.
