Sheena Metal Introduces I AM RAISING THE VIBRATION OF THE NATION (AND THE WORLD)

By:

Sheena Metal, an entertainment icon who has anchored numerous radio shows for over 20 years in Los Angeles and was named one of Talkers Magazine's Frontier Fifty (an exclusive selection of outstanding talk media webcasters) has founded I Am Raising the Vibration of the Nation (and the World), a new peace movement in response to the division and distress across the country since last November's presidential election. Along with a new radio program and blog, Metal will be inaugurating Facebook Live video posts and YouTube segments. There will also be a monthly event at the Filmmakers Gallery in Long Beach, CA. The radio program made its debut on Monday, January 9 and will air every Monday night from 7-9pm PT. The website is now live and the blog will follow later this month.

Metal describes I Am Raising the Vibration of the Nation (and the World): "We are a movement of peace, unity, community, and love. Like a phoenix from the ashes, I believe that raising the vibration of the nation is the first step to finding true peace and unequivocal unity among our country's citizens." The weekly LA Talk Radio program will feature guests who are working to better and enrich our country and the world. Along with speakers, the monthly event at the Filmmakers Gallery in Long Beach will feature documentary films on the same theme.

A mainstay at LATalkRadio.com, Metal also serves as host of three of the station's most popular shows - The Sheena Metal Experience, now celebrating its eighth anniversary (Monday through Friday, 5-7pm PT); Haunted Playground, a mix of celebrity guests and well known figures in the paranormal community, in its seventh year (Tuesdays, 3-5pm PT); and Music Highway, in its twelfth year (eight years at LATR) and has recently partnered with musicxray.com, to bring more International Artists to the show (Wednesdays, from 3-5pm PT).

Metal serves on the Boards of Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA, the Artemis: Women in Action Film Festival, SIA Organization, and The Moreno Valley Cultural Arts Foundation, and she also works with the Harvey Milk Foundation. She annually produces, directs, and acts in a production of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues to benefit two anti-violence charities. Metal is a regular on the Child of the 70s web series and has appeared in Film Lab's Amnesia, Bruno & Earlene Go To Vegas (Outfest premiere), and the short film Point Mugu (starring Skeet Ulrich).
