SMOKE AND MIRRORS Extends Through 5/26 at Road Theatre in NoHo
After more than six months of playing to packed houses in Santa Monica and North Hollywood, Smoke and Mirrors - described as a heartfelt comedy-drama with mind-bending magic that has been named "Critics Choice" in the Los Angeles Times - has extended its run again at The Road on Lankershim, 5108 Lankershim Blvd in NoHo.
Smoke and Mirrors is now set to run through Sunday, May 26.
Created by and starring Albie Selznick, a noted magician (a lifetime member of Hollywood's Magic Castle) and actor (Castle, Grays Anatomy, Desperate Housewives), Smoke and Mirrors is a semi-autobiographical, fantastical coming-of-age story about a boy who uses magic to escape reality and face the world after the death of his father.
Smoke and Mirrors has been hailed as "a superb theatrical magic show" by the L.A. Times, while Backstage stated, "Smoke and Mirrors" is about magic, wonder, and spectacle. You'll leave feeling spellbound." The LA Weekly said, "If you've forgotten the childlike joy and sublime wonderment of seeing magic performed, Albie Selznick's theatrical show is an enchanting reminder...a bewildering tour de force that has more "how did he do that" flashes than can be counted. Go!" Broadway World called it "a magic show of the highest order, and much more...don't miss Smoke and Mirrors."
Smoke and Mirrors show dates and times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 3 p.m., through May 26
Performances are at The Road on Lankershim at the historic Lankershim Arts Center, 5108 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood.
