THE ROAD ON MAGNOLIA
What happens to a human after being abused, forgotten, and living in a cage for years? Do we find the same compassion for them, that we might find for rescue animals? Follow six souls who spend the day singing, sleeping, and wrestling their past with the present: how to trust, how to love and be loved, and how to finally feel free.

AT THE TABLE

May, 2019 - THE ROAD ON LANKERSHIM
Six friends head out of the city on their annual retreat for the weekend. With no social media, no cell phones, no internet allowed, this leaves them with one thing to do... look up from their screens and talk to each other. And when the liquor starts flowing and the tongues start to loosen, no conversation is uneventful and no topic is off-limits. AT THE TABLE is a comedy that begs the question: what happens when those with privilege are pushed to the periphery and a marginalized minority suddenly finds its voice amplified? Who is allowed at what discussion table, and who isn't? Does a house full of predominately white people get to consider itself 'diverse'? The so-called table becomes less inviting as it first seems. This production will be made possible through the support of the David Lee Foundation.
Subscriptions to this world premiere season are now available by calling the Box Office at 818-761-8838 or online at www.roadtheatre.org.
