Quentin Tarantino Moves Up Staged Reading of THE HATEFUL EIGHT to 4/19; Changes Venue

By: Apr. 09, 2014

BroadwayWorld previously reported that Academy Award-winning writer and director Quentin Tarantino will be hosting a live, staged reading of his new screenplay THE HATEFUL EIGHT later this month in Los Angeles. And we have even better news today!

Deadline writes that the reading, originally scheduled for April 24 at the LA County Museum of Art, will now be held on April 19 at the Theatre at the Ace Hotel downtown.

Read the original report here.

The script "centers on a stagecoach disaster and the bounty hunters, Confederate soldiers and other figures affected by it, biding their time at a saloon during a blizzard."

Tickets, at $200 each, go on sale this Friday, April 11 at 12 p.m. for members of Film Independent, the LACMA Film Club and the NYT Film Club. Remaining tickets will go on sale on April 16. All proceeds will go to Film Independent's programming work at LACMA.

Writer, director, producer and actor Tarantino has written screenplays for Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Killers, From Dusk Till Dawn, the Kill Bill series, Grindhouse, Death Proof, Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained and more. He has received two Academy Awards, two Golden Globes, two BAFTAs and has earned nominations for an Emmy and a GRAMMY Award.
